160323 - Message occasionally doesn't load in separate window on double click

I'm using the Mozilla mail client through an IMAP server.   Clicking on a 
message in the three-paned Mozilla mail window has the desired effect--the 
corresponding message text is displayed.  

Double clicking opens a separate window for the message, as expected, but 
occasionally (30% of the time?) the message text doesn't load in the new 
window...instead, the "Loading Document..." message in the bottom of the window 
simply persists.    This occurs even for very small messages with no 
attachments, on a high-speed network connection.   Usually double-clicking 
again (or several times) on the message in the list will cause a separate 
window to be correctly populated with the message text.

Yes, I've seen this from time to time, mostly on Mac OS 10.1

IThink this is the same bug, but I seen it in Gmail when i try to load a message
in a new window by clicking the arrrowed tab in the upper right of any  message.
The window pops up..  there is the usual red LOADING message, which nnevetr goes
away... nowever in the status bar belos I see "done" appear almost immediately.
this is in Sea Monkey Build 2005081810 on Mac OS X 10.3.9. I run a 1Ghz iBook.
I'll also mention I experiene this same bug in Camino.... I'll be mentioning on
the mailing list there as well.

David, Is gmail imap?  Do you still see this on newer versions of Seamonkey??

It's unclear to me if the user is talking about the web-interface to gmail, or the pop3 mode where messages are downloading into TB/SM locally. In any case, gmail is not IMAP.
