If you have a second copy of Firefox running and right click on the icon for that Firefox and select "Open new tab", "Open new Window," or "open private window", it tries to do this action on the default Firefox (in my case trying to open the profile manager)
These actions should always act on the version of Firefox that is being accessed via the taskbar.
This used to work in Firefox 60.
I believe profile per install directory caused it.
These easiest way to see this is to start a local copy of Firefox then run a nightly built with ./mach run.
All of the actions on the taskbar popup are sent to a different browser.

Hi,
Thanks for submitting this bug to us!
I am not able to replicate the issue. I've tried on: Windows 10 pro,Firefox Nightly version74.0a1 (2020-01-09) (64-bit). Can you confirm in which version of FF and which OS this is happening to you?
Please test if the issue occurs to you in safe mode (add-ons disabled). Here is a link that can help you do that:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
If the issue persists, also test it using a fresh profile, you can find the steps to do that below:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Managing-profiles#w_starting-the-profile-manager
Best regards, Clara.

This is working for me now. I don't know what fixed it. I'll see if I can figure it out.
