RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1372631

People

(Reporter: ngistatonaquitallizom, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:68.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/68.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Subscribe to a popular issue. For example https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=939897
  2. Wait for another user to subscribe to that issue

Actual results:

The received email notification contains the complete email address for the user that has subscribed to the issue.

Expected results:

The received email notification should not contain the complete email addresses.

On Bugzilla, all users’ email addresses are public as explained in the Create Account page, not only in email notifications but also bug activity, flag requests and actually everywhere. There’s a plan to allow using a username instead of your email, but the work has been stalled. I’m marking this bug a duplicate of that bug.
