RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1604887

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; rv:71.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/71.0

Steps to reproduce:

A cold boot of Windows 10. FF is the only app in startup folder, so it launches. Homepage is set to about:blank. Usually, when cold booting - which is infrequent - I walk away for a few minutes. No changes to FF except normal updates (non-beta). Has been happening (off and on) for about 6 months. My normal profile I've named "ShieldsUp" and the website that get's launched is "https:shiledsup.com"

Actual results:

Intermittently, when FF launches (using my pre-selected profile) after the cold boot, it opens my home page (about:blank) but, without any input from me, also opens a second tab, the url of which is apparently taken from my FF profile name. My normally used profile is called "ShieldsUp" and the website that FF is opening, is "https:shieldsup.com". This is an intermittenent issue that I have not been able to duplicate at will. Also, I don't cold boot frequently.

Expected results:

FF should have launched using my ShieldsUp profile and opened only a single blank tab - and that is what it usually does.

(I have a 2nd profile that I called ShieldsDown. It's never tried to launch a URL using that name.)

This isn't a major headache, but rather curious and I thought someone might find intriguing. Will supply relevant files if any interest is shown.
