User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/79.0.3945.88 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce:
This happens on the Account Settings window.
Open Account Settings window.
Close the window.
Reopen the window.
Repeat.
This was reported in bug 158042 in comment 45. However that bug has been closed so I opened a new bug for the issue.
I am on TB 68.3.1 32-bit and Windows 10 1909.
Actual results:
The window got smaller each time the open, close, reopen was done.
Expected results:
The window should have stayed the same size.

I've discovered what might be a related issue with the account settings window. I think I used to be able to make the left window that has the account names and settings categories can't be made wider. When I put the cursor between the left and right panes, the cursor does not change to a double ended arrow to allow me to make the left pane wider. Wasn't this possible in earlier versions of Thunderbird? I am on 68.3.1.
Thanks,
Bill

I can reproduce with Thunderbird 68.3.1 on Windows 10, but not on Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS Linux.
I was able to resize the Account Settings window to fit the screen, but it kept shrinking each time I opened it.

I am unable to reproduce the issue in a fresh TB profile, unless I copy in the xulstore.json file from an affected profile. Attached is an xulstore.json file which does trigger the issue.
Deleting the xulstore.json file (so to have TB rebuild it) appears to resolve the issue.

Just curious. As I understand it the layout, menus and buttons are stored in the xulstore.json file in the profile folder. There may be other things as well. If I delete that file and have TB rebuild it, I will lose all those things won't I?
Thanks,
Bill

I realize now that I attached a picture which includes my email addresses. Could these be made obscure (obfuscated) or can it screen shot be deleted? I can upload another one that doesn't show my email address.
Thanks,
Bill

I asked nicely. Can some one please either obscure the email addresses in my attachment. If that is not possible would someone please delete the attachment from this bug.
Thanks,
Bill

Why is no one replying to or helping me with the request to obscure the email addresses or remove the attachment?

I can't see the picture now.
Someone already deleted it for you?

I'd like to mention that there's a little more info in my dup report 1608401, including a "workaround".

Thanks for the reply. Under attachments at the beginning of this thread there are two listed. It is the first one. I can still see it there. I can also see it in comment #2 in this thread.
Are these not visible to you? Are these only visible to me?

I don't know anybody at Mozilla. Do you know an email address that I could send the request to?
Thanks,
Bill

They are only visible to you.
I only see one attached file and that is the one from comment 11.
Your file in comment 2 does not load for me.

I didn't realize that. Thanks for letting me know. And also thanks to whoever took care of "hiding" the attachment and the comment.

I suppose anyone @mozilla.com (at least in bug 1594115 thread) will be glad to help.

Indeed this should no longer be an issue.
