Steps to Reproduce
- Enter "Top Sites" section menu and click "Add Top Sites"
- Expand form by selecting "Use a custom image..."
- Fill out form with any custom image URL
- Preview
Actual Behavior
- Firefox always responds with "Valid URL required"
Expected Behavior
- Firefox loads the image from the specified URL
It even happens with 180x180 PNGs that Firefox normally automatically picks up from the apple-touch-icon header link tag.

I couldn't reproduce the exact error. However I had a similar erroneous behavior. In my case when I am adding a top site with a custom image, the image doesn't load in the new tab.

Actually it takes a fair amount of time to load the new image so now it works perfect. In any case if I couldn't reproduce the original bug
