Cannot right click and paste to name a new folder in Firefox Favourites dropdown menu Win 7 and 10 after latest update.

Steps to reproduce:
Clicked Favourites * Icon
I chose the dropdown menu beside "Other Bookmarks" (folders)
There I clicked "New Folder"
To name it I right clicked and chose Paste
Actual results:
I could not paste! with mouse,
But I could with "Ctrl" + V on the tangent board,
Expected results:
I should be able to name the new folder by pasting from clipboard with right click through my mouse.
First it happened on my Windows 10 laptop after the latest update.
On my Windows 7 laptop it was fine until I updated Firefox with the latest update last week.
Now I am having the same issue on both.
Could not find solution on the webb though I searched intensively.

Hi Phosflow,
I'm having trouble reproducing the issue you've mentioned. I've tried it both on Firefox 71.0 and Firefox Nightly 73.0a1 with no success.
Could you test if this issue also occurs while using a fresh profile? You can find out how to do this here:

Thank you for the reply.
I have Firefox 71.0 (64-bits) on both of my devices.
I have never created a profile nor an account.
I have followed your request and in the "about:profiles" the root catalog and local catalog are
system folders.
I am sceptical to create a new folder at present aince I do not understand the concept :)
This issue emerged after the latest Fifrefox update, and the paste issue is only in favourites.
Thankfull if you can resolve this issue as it is frustrating.

The best thing to do to troubleshoot this issue is to create a new profile and see if it still occurs.
1. If Firefox is open, close Firefox:
Click the Firefox menu and select Exit.
2. Press Windows Key +R on the keyboard. A Run dialog will open.
In the Run dialog box, type in:
firefox.exe -P
Click OK. The Firefox Profile Manager (Choose User Profile) window should open.
3. In the Profile Manager, click Create Profile... to start the Create Profile Wizard.
Click Next and enter the name of the profile. Use a profile name that is descriptive, such as your personal name. This name is not exposed on the Internet.
Disregard the Choose Folder prompt unless you wish to choose where to store the profile on your computer.

To create the new profile, click Finish.

Click on the new profile in the list, and click Start Firefox.

If you could try this, and comment back with whether the issue happens in a new profile or not, that would be very helpful.

I am on the process of regaining the little sane I had :)
I have done a complete restore of my Win 7 laptop and it took almost two weeks to complete the process, an hour ago I managed to find and install drivers for the graphic card.
Now to install Firefox etc.
I am beat and braindead now, will attempt the troubleshoot during the weekend.

Sorry!
I wanted to update yesterday but fell asleep on my sofa :)
Last week I happened to notice the bug is resolved. Probably after the latest update.
Version 74.0 is the version which fixed the bug both on my Win 10 and Win 7 64 bit system.
I just updated my Win 7 Mozilla Firefox from 72.0 to 74.0 and VOILA! The "function" is back.
72.0 Didn´t work today
Updated to 74.0 Yes!
I have now the ability to right click and paste in the favourites again!
I have had the worst two months and I am extremely sorry that I have not been able to reply earlier.
