Steps to reproduce:

On Debian oldstable, upgrading to TB 68.x (currently 68.3.0)

Actual results:

Now, new messages get only downloaded after at least one account folder with "auto-download new messages" activated is selected and "get messages" is invoked.

Successive clicks on all other "auto-downloadable" account folders are required, to get those messages after that, if not the "get all messages" button was clicked (which would also get all non-auto-downloadable messages, which may not be what the user intends).

Expected results:

All "auto-download" enabled account folders should be updated, as soon as Thunderbird has started, as was the case before 68.x.

This looks like a dup of Bug 1584861. What are your thoughts fetuccini?
