User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Win64; x64; rv:71.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/71.0
Steps to reproduce:
Hello friends,
Since I use Firefox to read local pdf files as well as saved web pages, I need a sidebar to containing the file library to read files at the right times.
Actual results:
I can pin files in a tab-bar, but it does bother my browsing. Especially when I close the last active tab instead of exit browser, or loading a new tab page, unintentionally pinned files are loaded.
Unfortunately I didn't find any extensions for this.
Expected results:
Isn't it better to add this feature [Documents library sidebar] to the Firefox browser? Or at least a friend of the extension developer bother making it.
Thank you.

How would this be different from bookmarking the files and using the bookmarks sidebar?

Several bookmarks may be added daily. And their usage and time is different. Mixing these two will be boring. Bookmarks are reminded when browsing the web. But the library of documents are remined when reading of downloaded documents.

By "Documents Library", do you mean just ones you have downloaded with Firefox, or do you mean anything stored in a certain directory on the disk?

Anything stored on my PC's disk (in different folders). for PDF files i don't want to install and use another PDF viewer on my Windows, because Firefox is a enough pdf viewer.

I can see the idea of using Firefox as a pdf viewer, but I don't really see Firefox becoming a file explorer as well - best case maybe allowing it to be set as default for pdfs. Add-ons may be able to do something similar to what you want once bug 1246236 is implemented.
Moving across to general as I don't think this is specific enough to bookmarks & history, and others may have ideas as well.

If it were possible to create a fixed folder in one of the specified sections my problem would be solved. But now I have to use the "Other Bookmarks" folder.

It is now created in the beta version of Edge Browser, something like the one I requested, called "Collections".
