Bug Different Subjects of Mails in Thunderbird Release 68.3.1 (32-Bit)
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:71.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/71.0
Steps to reproduce:
I did not do (nothing) but receiving my emails.
Occurs in Version 68.3.1 and Build-ID 20191215232630.
Actual results:
With one and the same email, TWO DIFFERENT subjects are displayed! See Screenshot attached!
Expected results:
Of course, the subject displayed in the mails list and the open mail should be the same in both cases. ;-)

Repair the folder. Right click, Properties, "Repair Folder".

We get a few bugs where things have become inconsistent between message list and message preview. You need to know that the message list is populated from a database, but when viewing the message we read the message itself. If the database got out of step with the message storage, we get these inconsistencies. So the database needs to be rebuilt, and that's what "repair folder" does.
If you find a reproducible case, we're happy to investigate, but for now, let's close this bug. I'll make it "incomplete" since we don't know how it happened.
