Crash Data

I submitted the crash report bp-94983d61-2c2a-4ec9-a542-034d20200104. The crash occured when the Youtube homepage was loading and I clicked on the NoScript icon. I have chosen this component because the crash seems to be related to Wayland.

There are a few other reports with the same signature on Linux with current Nightly builds, beginning with build 20200103094738. Since I have "tested" clicking on the NoScript icon quite recently, it seems this is a recent regression. Maybe bug 1605120 is missing something?

So, I have build ID 20200107095722 which includes fix for bug 1605120 and I've had the crash twice already today, see bp-044869ba-de45-47b8-aaa3-411920200107.
Also, no clicking on extension icons involved.

I have tried to use mozregression to find the change that caused this bug, but I could not easily identify a "bad" build, so in the end I just tried the revisions from bug 1605120, bug 1606776 and bug 1607088. After a little bit of testing it seems that this bug is caused by bug 1606776 (but I'm not completely sure), and it also seems to be fixed by bug 1607088 which has not landed in a Nightly build yet (but will soon).

According to the backtrace this is Bug 1607088.
