After installing German (Germany) dictionary you cant use it

Steps to reproduce:
- Install the dictionary German (Germany)
- Write email
- Right-Click and check for "check spelling"
- Check the languages
To note: I use Linux
Actual results:
Only English (US) is a option.
Expected results:
German dictionary is a option.

This doesn't have enough detail. Paste the link from where you got the dictionary. I've got English (GB), German, Spanish, French all installed and they all work on Windows. Some Linux distros do something funny with language support, maybe that's the issue.

While writing a mail a made a right click and then Languages/Add Dictionary then chose German (Germany). Link: https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-Gb/thunderbird/addon/german-dictionary/

Yes, that's KaiRo's dictionary. I use the other one: https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-Gb/thunderbird/addon/german-dictionary-de_de-for-sp/. Is that working better? So can you select German from the Spelling button? Or the language display in the status area?
BTW, which version are you using? TB 63, that's not an official version any more.

I used the version of the Snap Store (Dont know why). I switched to my distribution´s repository and now everything works fine. Sorry for that unnecessary annoyance.
