Using Chimera/20020801, if the mouse button is clicked on a window titlebar in
order to move it, and that window subsequently repositions itself, window move
can continue, but the mouse cursor is no longer atop the window title bar.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Access the testcase
2. Click "bo.log" to spawn the pop-up window
3. Observe a full-size window open and resize itself
4. Click the pop-up window's titlebar and drag around
5. Observe the window reposition itself away from the mouse cursor.
The timing of steps 3-5 is obviously critical.
It's not reproducible in FizzillaCFM/2002080303.
(Discovered during testing of bug 160956.)
Adding qawanted; could use an easier-to-use testcase.

The same testcase but (I think) a bit easyer to understand/do
1) Create a new window (cmd-n)
2) Goto http://www.reality-sucks.org/log/log.html
3) Wait for the page to load completely
4) Move the bo.log window to the bottom right of the screen
5) Click refresh
5b) Quickly click and hold on the title bar... wait
6) The window has now resized/repostioned itself
7) While you're still holding the left mouse button move the mouse
Is that an "easier-to-use" testcase?

I think this is true for all apps in general. Just a flaw of the OS
PS: *SO* not a big deal
No; as I mentioned in comment 0, it doesn't happen using Mozilla.

er... I think it happens with all Cocoa apps
Mozilla doesn't allow updates while your move the window around. That's a key
part of the bug.
Looks like it's fixed in Mac OS 10.3.5.
The test url is no longer valid. I used
http://lxr.mozilla.org/seamonkey/source/layout/html/style/src/nsCSSFrameConstructor.cpp
(I'm assuming you were just using a large page that takes a little while to load)
Moved the window to the corner of the screen. Reloaded & dragged around... no problems.
Using Camino 2004101508

I can't seem to reproduce either and the original reporter hasn't updated or
denied the fact that this has been fixed or not since a long long time. So
closing bug and Marking WFM using 244670 NB on 10.3.8.
