Steps to reproduce:
Firefox Sync probably needs one-way sync to avoid certain problems such as:

Writing the wrong bookmark list over the right one. Bug 813479 Bug 1543302

Writing the wrong user preferences over the right ones.

Writing the wrong user add-on settings over the right ones. Bug 1511574
Bug 1407727 is similar, but defect rather than enhancement, and less explanation given.
Actual results:
Firefox sync isn't working for me, but this is one way it could fail a lot worse.
Expected results:
Firefox sync should allow users to sync FROM their current browser without syncing TO it,
Or sync TO their current browser without syncing FROM it.

Bug 1407727 is similar, but defect rather than enhancement, and less explanation given.
- I see no difference.
- It's marked as an enhancement, not a defect.
- Clarification was provided at bug 1407727, comment 2 and acknowledged at bug 1407727, comment 3.
