On loading mozilla or netscape, the display has really big, chunky, and totally unusable user interface elements. I cannot cure this even when I physically remove all files from my mozilla directory and reinstall them. Any ideas? URL is a pointer to the screen snapshot of what I end up with after loading. MFC Embed works OK. Mark Jacobs mailto:mark@jacobsm.com http://www.jacobsm.com

Try creating a new profile (and don't share them between Mozilla and Netscape). What was the version of Mozilla ?

-> invalid You enabled a debug pref and never do this if you don't know what this mean. There are 3 ways to fix this : 1. try to open the preferences\debug\ and disable "debug XUL boxes" 2. open your prefs.js in your profile and and search that line and change it from True to false 3. create a new profile. (run "mozilla -profilemanager")

Running mozilla in profile manager mode cured the problem. I set up a new profile called MJ, then I deleted the "default" profile, and made MJ default. Problem solved. Not a bug as such, but for someone with no idea, it could be disconcerting. Mark Jacobs http://www.jacobsm.com Veteran BCB Developer
