User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:72.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/72.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Open "Show All Bookmarks".
- Select almost 4000 bookmarks (all my bookmarks in "Other Bookmarks" folder).
- Press Delete.
Actual results:
Deleting takes a long time and after some time "Warning: Unresponsive script" message appears. While deleting bookmarks whole browser becomes unresponsive.
Expected results:
Deleting bookmarks should not freeze browser. Deletion process should run in background. And it would be good user experience to show that bookmarks are actually being deleted.

Duplicate of bug 1562490.
Note, a change has been landed in 74 (to be released in 4-8 weeks), which should improve this a little, bug 1607245 is a future follow-up to that which should help improve things a lot, though I can't say how much by at the moment.
