Details

go to the above url at npr.org and start filling out the form. after a short
time, some of the checkboxes you select will appear dark gray instead of normal
light gray. scrolling the page up and down (to cover and uncover the affected
checkboxes) fixes the problem... this is odd.

Tried with Oct 12, 1998 5:23PM build on WINNT and it is working normally.
Fails on WIN98. It looks like checkboxes near the bottom of the page are being
left in their active state because the invalidate to force a repaint is not
happening. It may be a coordinate overflow problem.

Reassigning to Don to examine the coordinate overflow problem. My guess is that
the coordinates passed to the Invalidate are outside the range of values that
WIN95/WIN98 can handle so it does not do the invalidate.

resolving invalid -- url is outdated, and i haven't seen this in a long, long
time. i'll file a new bug with a fixed testcase if i ever see this again.
