Sometimes when I try to type in a textarea on a HTML page, pressing the spacebar will NOT generate a space and the words in my text get strung together. I'm using Mozilla 1.1b on WinNT 4.0 (SP6), build id: 2002072104. This is an intermittent problem and if I press the spacebar repeatedly, spaces will eventually start appearing again. I see this a LOT when composing e-mail in Hotmail. Peace.....

Tom, cna you try a newer build ? you are using an old build. if it still happens let us know. I tried to reproduce the problem both in buzilla and Hotmail text areas. I cannot reproduce it..
Yup... I can download a newer version and try it again. I also see similar mis-behavior in Netscape 7.0PR1 on Linux, but I'm not reporting THAT problem here... :) I'll let you know what happens. Thanks! Peace....
WFM with 2002091608/trunk/win2k. reporter (Tom): can you reproduce this bug with a recent build of mozilla (for example, 1.2alpha)? if so, please comment again with details. if not, please resolve this bug as WORKSFORME. thanks.
I'm currently using Netscape 7.0 (release) and it seems to be working fine. I'm sure CURRENT Mozilla 1.2 snapshots would also work fine and the problem is SO obscure and intermittent that it's hard to recreate (on Windows). I tend to have this problem much MORE consistently on Linux with Netscape 6/7, but I can't report those problems here.... :) So, I'm satisfifed enough to go ahead and close this bug report.
