I did a Try push using "-u all" recently:

https://treeherder.mozilla.org/#/jobs?repo=try&tier=1&revision=3406b08de6adb0c880be8273d9ed98f443e67653&selectedJob=286787942

but it looks like on desktop, only browser-chrome mochitests were run.

Previously, other types of tests, such as mochitest-plain, would run as well.

I think this is because of the split between "Linux 18.04 x64" and "Linux x64": most "Linux x64" tests have been migrated to "Linux 18.04 x64". I'm not sure of the try -p syntax to select the 18.04 platform.

"linux1804-64,linux1804-64-qr" can be used to include the Linux 18.04 tests:
https://treeherder.mozilla.org/#/jobs?repo=try&revision=82a4c112bc6b258367eef816ae8df535327b8e94

:egao - Is the linux64/linux1804-64 split a temporary condition? Should we make some try label changes to simplify selection of linux*64 tasks?

:botond - linux1804-64 is the new label, and this is permanent.

I am of the opinion that the old mach try syntax syntax should not be used further since it is prone to scheduling way more tasks than needed, due to the wide net it casts. With some platforms experiencing prolonged machine scarcity (macosx1014, android) it would be preferable to use a more precise try selector.

Summary: "-u all" only runs browser-chrome mochitests → "-u all" only runs browser-chrome mochitests ("linux64" in try syntax does not select linux1804-64)

Update existing unit test aliases for linux64 to include the new 18.04 platforms.
