Hello,
Basically, I was wondering if there was any possibility of figuring out who to work with to get Thunderbird officially released/maintained as a snap.
At present, it seems to be maintained by Ken Vandine from Canonical which is ok, but the updates are lagging. In particular, the version currently released is 68.4.1 compared to 68.4.2.
This is for a snap which currently appears to have thousands of users.
Given that the infrastructure would be identical to that currently being used to release for Firefox. Is there any plans/hopes that the same infrastructure could be provided/used to deploy an official thunderbird release as soon as it's available?
Here are some relevant links to discussions.

I also have several thunderbird snap versions currently that seem to mostly work perfectly fine.

The only thing currently wanted is for Mozilla to basically to have a similar release pipeline for a Thunderbird snap as they do currently with a Firefox snap. i can imagine maintenance would be low especially considering the volume of change for the current thunderbird snap.
The advantage purely being that releases would at least keep track against the latest security releases of Thunderbird.
Kind regards,
Krish
