User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:74.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/74.0

Steps to reproduce:

1. Perform a web search
2. Click on a result
3. Close the tab or firefox itself
4. Reopen that tab, or start firefox and navigate to that tab

Actual results:

The web search's results page comes up, instead of where you were when you closed the tab/firefox. Clicking the back button or alt+left takes you back to where you were.

Expected results:

It should've opened the webpage you were on when you closed the tab/firefox.

Thank you for submitting this report. Unfortunately I couldn't reproduce the issue on Windows 10 x64, Mac 10.14 or Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS with Firefox versions 72.0.2, Beta 73.0 and Nightly 74.0a1 (2020-02-06).

Can you try again using a clean profile (https://goo.gl/AWo6h8), maybe even in Safe mode (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode), with the latest Firefox Nightly version and see if the problem still persists? The issue does indeed not seem to happen with a new profile.

Thank you for the quick reply.

It seems like an add-on may be at fault here. Can you add a list with the installed add-ons from the browser, so I can try and find which one may be causing the problem? (you can find the add-ons if you access about:addons)

The issue can be reproduce on Windows 10 x64, Mac 10.14 and Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS with Firefox Nightly 74.0a1 (2020-02-10), if the nightTab add-on is installed (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/nighttab/?src=search).

I will add a component, so our developers can take a look. If the selected component is not right, please feel free to change it to a more relevant one.
