(Reporter: lopezibanez, Unassigned)
Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:72.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/72.0
Steps to reproduce:
Try to find via global search an email written by someone who appears in many CC lists.
Actual results:
There is no easy way to filter messages who were sent from or to someone in global search.
There was an add-on with this functionality: https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/gmailui/
But it stopped working. This is out-of-the-box functionality in GMail.

Suggested operators:
- from:mike This expression searches all messages with 'mike' in the from field.
- to:bill This expression searches all messages with 'bill' in the to, cc or bcc fields of the message.
- cc:bill bcc:bill onlyto:bill Self-explanatory variants of the above.
- subject:electric bill
GMail also supports "-word" to exclude words

This is largely bug 1445125.
The workaround of course is open the messages in a list, and use quick filters
