User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:74.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/74.0

Steps to reproduce:

Just updated my Firefox Nightly to the version 74.0a1 and the sound dissapeard.

Actual results:

Tried going on youtube. No sound. Tried going on Netflix and still no sound.

I did a troubleshoot on my headphones and my computer but nothing was wrong there. Then I opened up regular Firefox and the sound worked there.

Expected results:

There should've been sound.

Can you find the exact regression range?

Either way, please enter about:support into the address bar, click the Copy text to clipboard button, save it as a file in Notepad, then click the Attach New File button above the description here.

Don't know what regression range is and how to use that program. But I got the other stuff.

Thanks for the bug report. While reproducing the issue, can you please right click the volume icon in the notification area and select "Open Volume mixer", verify that Firefox Nightly appears and the volume for any Firefox entries are set to an audible level and not muted.

Also, if you could please test these specific nightly builds and let us know the results, that'd be helpful:

I checked that already. Nothing was muted on anything. I also did a volume test on my headset and checked the balance. The sound disaperamce was just on Firefox Nightly 74.0a1.en.

Update!
Just got a new update on Firefox Nighlty about a few minutes ago (08:25) and the sound is back now.

Thanks Daniel. Given your last comment, I'll close this as working. Please let us know if you experience this issue again.
