Execute a query (example) on stmo using the Query Results data set or open a stmo dashboard (example) with visualizations based on a Query Results-based query.

Expected:
Query executes successfully

Error running query: Input string must be text, not bytes

This issue breaks desktop and Fenix performance release criteria dashboards.

This has been fixed upstream already since our last rebase point. I've backported the fix in https://github.com/mozilla/redash/commit/1076af4cac6af77a2699b2a6844b0a532cea31ab.
