User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.13; rv:72.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/72.0
Steps to reproduce:
Tried to print a pdf downloaded and opened in firefox. PDF is slightly too wide so I wanted to print to width. By default, there is a setting selected called "ignore scaling and shrink to fit page width". The result is the same whether or not this option is selected. I have also tried going in to the "paper handling" section and ensuring "scale to fit" is selected there, but the result is still the same. The document is not fit to width and the right side is cut off.
Actual results:
Page printed too wide and cut off part of the text.
Expected results:
It should have shrunk the image to fit on the page.

Thanks for reporting this bug.
Is the pdf publicly available? It would be great if it can be attached to help us diagnose this bug.

Thanks for the reply. I can't seem to reproduce this with current Firefox Nightly on macOS 10.14.
The size of the pages in that PDF is approximately US Letter, 8.5" × 11". It may be that you are printing to A4. When I try that (printing to PDF), I do get correctly scaled output on A4 pages, although the contents seem to be positioned at the top of the page rather than centered (which is what for example macOS Preview will do when printing content to a page size with a different aspect ratio).
When I uncheck the "Ignore scaling and shrink to fit page width" box, then the output PDF does have the content cut off on the right edge of the page.
Reporter, do you get different results if you print to PDF rather than directly to your printer?

If I print to PDF and then print via Preview, I still have to scale it for it to print on 8.5x11. For some reason, it's not scaling if I print within firefox.
When I view the PDF, it appears to be 8.5 x 11.

Thanks for testing that.
I get correct output with Firefox 73 too. Jonathan, by chance can you reproduce?

OK, so I was experiencing other issues with my mac and decided to do a clean install of the OS. I reformatted everything and did a new install of Catalina and a new install of firefox.
I am still experiencing the issue exactly as before.
Firefox version 74.0
OSX version 10.15.3
Printer is Canon IR-ADV c5045/5051 with the latest driver (10.19.1).
As a workaround I attempted to change the paper to US Letter (print area large), but that had no effect. Additionally, in the printer settings I set " use generic printer features" but that also had no effect.

Scan of what happens when I print the sample document. As you can see, the border on the right side of the first page is cut off.
