Following upgrade to Thunderbird 74.0b1 (32-bit) it has crashed unexpectedly 3-4 time this week without generating crash report or proposing to report the issue... I had to manually start application again.
When if first occurred, I thought I had perhaps closed it by mistake, but last it happens (just now) it was after clicking the Send button to send a message... previously I was not doing anything in particular in TB, it just seem to crash by itself...
It is probably expected from a b1 version but just thought to mention it...
After a manual start of TB, the message appeared send and available in Sent items folder... on the server (IMAP/SMTP account).

Not really - we try to avoid major new crashes even in beta.
You could catch it in windbg https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/How_to_get_a_stacktrace_with_WinDbg - substitute "thunderbird" where you see "firefox"

The issue is very random and not reproducible making it very hard to grab a crash report via WinDbg... unless I am mistaking the process which I am unfamiliar with at the moment...

FYI, here is the first crash report I could gather following last crash observed...
bp-ae4e7b01-480b-4613-8a2c-254fe0200302
If that can be on any help... I don't remember if I was sending an email or if it just crashed by itself at the time... because I moved on to do something else without noticing the crash report windows that was hidden behind other opened windows...

Thanks. This crash is being worked on as Bug 1517464 - Thunderbird crash in nsXPCWrappedJS::Release sending mail (or saving to Sent or Drafts)

FYI,
Also noticed just now, TB keep processing (icon keeps running in the Inbox tab) but I am unable to read any email message... when I click on a message, the preview pane remain blank... if I double click to open, message open in a new tab but is totally blank as well no header, no content... It looks like the only way I have to sort the issue is to close/quit TB and re-open it...

Richard, Are you still getting crashes with now crash report?
Not that I have noticed in recent Beta version, now using TB 85.0b3 (64-bit).
Though I may seems to have noticed something when I close TB I see a crash report window behind it... but I am not sure that actually TB crash at least nothing noticed nor a report. I will try to check again this week if I notice it again as I just upgraded to last Beta.
