new mail notification - no correlation between email count and displayed messages on imap

Steps to reproduce:
new mail notification box appears and shows:
Actual results:
a) you have 1 new message (displaying 6,3,4,8,whatever)
b) you have 4 new messagrs, displaying 2 messages
any combination of that. No correlation between the count given and the number of displayed messages
generally, all messages seem to be new to me, but they are not counted?
and most recently, the notification box cannot immediately be disposed with x, it insists to be displayed a few seconds.
Expected results:
if there are 5 messages, the count should be 5.
if it announced 1 new message but displays 6, which is supposedly the new one? top one, bottom one, middle one?
which folders does it use for counting and displaying on imap, inbox only or including others?

Hallo Klaus, was lange währt, wird endlich gut - oder so ähnlich...
We have fixed bug 375717 and bug 210148, so after that has made its way through the channels, this problem should be gone.
You can check on bug 375717 to see which releases have the fix.
