Having this message in JS console :
"Error: tr1 is not defined
Source File: http://server1.msn.co.in/features/overweight/fab.asp
Line: 1257"
Here is the "faulty" JS
"<script language="javascript">
ctr=1;
function fun(val)
{
if(val =="n")
{
ctr++;
if(ctr>="7")
{
ctr=1;
}
}
else
{
ctr--;
if(ctr<="0")
{
ctr=5;
}
}
tr1.style.display='none';
tr2.style.display='none';
tr3.style.display='none';
tr4.style.display='none';
tr5.style.display='none';
tr6.style.display='none';
tr7.style.display='none';
pr.style.display='inline';
ne.style.display='inline';
switch (ctr)
{
case 1:
tr1.style.display="inline";
pr.style.display='none';
break;
case 2:
tr2.style.display="inline"; break;
case 3:
tr3.style.display="inline";
break;
case 4:
tr4.style.display="inline";
break;
case 5:
tr5.style.display="inline";
ne.style.display='none';
break;
case 6:
tr6.style.display="inline";
break;
case 7:
tr7.style.display="inline";
break;
}
}
</script>
<a href="javascript:fun('p')">

I get an error in the JS Console just by loading this site:
Error: img1 is not defined
Source File: http://server1.msn.co.in/features/overweight/fab.asp
Line: 23
This corresponds to the following element in their HTML:
<tr id="img1" >
Meanwhile, the error reported above involves this element:
<tr id="tr1" >
The site is using an non-standard IE-only DOM syntax, whereby
any HTML id is automatically placed in the global JavaScript
namespace. So, in IE, the two HTML elements above AUTOMATICALLY
create two global JS variables |img1|, |tr1|.
The W3C-standard syntax would require
var img1 = document.getElementById("img1")
var tr1 = document.getElementById("tr1")
