On macOS when downloading a file, the progress bar on the dock icon does not work

Steps to reproduce:
1 - On macOS 10.15.3, start Firefox 73.0.1 from the icon in the dock.
2 - Paste https://www.mozilla.org/it/firefox/new/ into the address bar and press enter.
3 - Click on the "Download Now" button.
4 - In the window that appears, choose the "Save file" option and then click on the "Ok" button.
Actual results:
The progress bar in the dock icon appears but remains stationary.
Expected results:
The progress bar appears and advances until the file download is complete.

It does work, it's just using a really bad color, which looks almost identical to the background.
