User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:72.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/72.0
Steps to reproduce:
Registered a trial Firefox account few years ago using real e-mail address
Actual results:
I get periodic unsolicited email like this:
<quote>
If you want to go... we won’t stop you.
But we’ll still be here, making products that help protect your privacy.
If you’re not ready to say goodbye (...to our emails), then check out some of the Firefox family of products you can access through your account and let's see where this thing goes?
</quote>
....The email includes an "unsubscribe" link, however it requires one to log in to unsubscribe.
Expected results:
According to netiquette, unsubscribe link in an automated mail should not require any credentials to unsubscribe. It should contain a token that modifies subscription settings.

The link in the footer is going to Basket, I assume, but it does require a login to modify preferences. @pmac - is there a URL that exists that wouldn't require a login?

That is an issue currently and we are on track to fix it in the next few weeks as we import all FxA users into our system so that they can have the same unsubscribe URL as all of the other email we send. My apologies for the delay. Future emails will have a link with a token exactly as you describe.

Thanks for the info. Is there a bug we can dupe this to?
