Prerequisites:

  • extensions.formautofill.available -> on
  • extensions.formautofill.creditCards.available -> true (Browser restart needed)
  • Make sure you have at least two saved profiles.
  • Make sure you have at least two saved credit cards.
  • Please note that some of the sites require VPN set to US.

Affected versions

  • 75.0a1 (2020-02-26)
  • 74.0b8
  • 73.0.1

Affected platforms

  • Windows 10x64
  • macOS 10.15
  • Windows 7x64

Steps to reproduce

  1. Launch Firefox.
  2. Go to the website www.cdw.com and place a purchase as a guest.
  3. The shipping details page is displayed.
  4. Double click on any input field.

Expected result

  • Saved addresses are displayed.

Actual result

  • Autocomplete suggestions aren’t displayed.

Regression range

  • This issue is not a recent regression since I was able to reproduce it on Firefox 73.0.1. I’ll come with a regression range asap.

Additional notes

  • I’ll attach a screen recording with the issue.

Bugbug thinks this bug is a regression, but please revert this change in case of error.

I don't think this is a regression.
I went back until 2017-05-12 when the "Form autofill" feature was implemented and I could reproduce the issue.

Not a regression, we shipped with this bug since 2017 so it is wontfix for 74.
