RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 155429

Details

(This is Mozilla 1.1b on Windows, I don't know why "Version" in the form
would only let me select "other"?)

Download Manager shows an empty line in its list which
I cannot manually remove. At the moment, it looks like
this:

  Name Progress Time Transferred
  guildo2002.jpg Finished 13KB of 13KB

  brings2002.jpg Finished 25KB of 25KB
  Ozone_win98up_ Finished 1836KB of 1836KB

Note the empty line between guildo and brings. These are
two images I downloaded (Save image as...) yesterday, directly
after eachother. Mozilla was up since yesterday. I did
not sort the list since then, nor remove and entries
from the list.

I can select this empty line in the list, but "Remove
from list" does nothing.

In fact, I cannot sort the list anymore in _any_ way
by clicking on one of the list headers/tabs (but this
could be expected behaviour or NYI, since I didn't
try this at all before).

Now I click on "guildo" and "Remove", and it is removed,
leaving the empty line on the top of the list.

Now I click on "brings" and "Remove", and it is removed,
too, but now the empty line jumps to the bottom of the
list (after Ozone).

Now I click on "Ozone" and "Remove". It is removed, and
the empty line remains (which I cannot remove).

The status bar (on the bottom) of Download Manager now
still shows the (hard disk) path to the last file
selected (for removal): The path to the Ozone download.
Reporter, given that you're not familiar with the bug submitting procedures,
it is STRONGLY recommended to read the Bug Writing Guidelines at
http://www.mozilla.org/quality/bug-writing-guidelines.html
before submitting bugs, and use Bugzilla Helper to report bugs, not
the Advanced report form. The Helper can be found at
http://www.mozilla.org/quality/help/bug-form.html

Some details in your bug report gave us a hint
that it may be related to the fact that newer builds of Mozilla may
incorrectly understand the configuration information of the previous
builds and/or its own data files after crashes.

Please go to your Profile directory (if you are unaware of its location,
run a search for file named "prefs.js" -- it's located in Profile directory)
and erase the file "downloads.rdf" in that directory. Note that this will
erase your whole downloads queue!

If you encounter the same problem again, please feel free to return to this bug
and reopen it.

Thank you for your help with testing Mozilla!
