This was initially reported here https://github.com/webcompat/web-bugs/issues/49105
Steps to reproduce:
- Open the provided testcase in Firefox on Windows and upload an .ics file
Expected:
type of uploaded file is detected as "text/calendar"
Actual:
type is empty
In addition, accept="text/calendar"
doesn't take any effect, allowing to select other file types

I can't reproduce this problem. I suspect bug 1660560 should have fixed this. Of course as always with MIME type bugs they depend on the running system.

It's working for me as well, the type is detected correctly. I think we can close this, thanks Tom.
