From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.1b) Gecko/20020722 MultiZilla/v1.1.20 BuildID: 2002072308 See commented screenshot (to be attached). First everything looked normal (lower window in the screenshot), and I opened some links in new tabs. When the tabs reached a certain number, suddenly the browser window canvas starts to grow! Every newly opened tab make it grow more (highlighted area in the screenshot). Since I am using MultiZilla, I am not sure if this is a Mozilla or MultiZilla bug. I am filing it in both places and will do some more examination. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. open any website with a lot of links 2. click on the links with middle mouse button to open them in new tabs (no matter in foreground or background) 3. keep going until the tabs reach a certain number Actual Results: Window canvas grows beyond window size. Expected Results: Window canvas stays unchanged. In case you are wondering, what you see in my personal toolbar is EasySearch 0.98 (easysearch.mozdev.org).
MultiZilla bugreport #1943 filed: http://www.mozdev.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=1943
Besides, after I closed some tabs, the canvas shrank back to normal size.
I believe that for Mozilla's part, this was fixed in bug 106927 in the beginning of July, with a remaining issue in bug 155325. I don't use multizilla, and am unable to get the result you show in the screenshot. Sice your build is newer than the fix, it seems it's a multizilla-bug only. Suggest resolving as invalid.
You right, I reinstalled a new Mozilla 1.1b and it does not have the problem. Then I installed MultiZilla and the bug appeared. Resolving as invalid. Sorry for the spam.
