User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:73.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/73.0
Steps to reproduce:
As soon as a notification appears about the release of a new version of the program, I update it - I erase the old one from the computer and install the latest version.
Actual results:
Everything is fine, except that notifications with the offer to upgrade to the latest version continue to crawl out onto the screen
Expected results:
thunderbird should be able to see that the latest version is already installed, and sit quietly and not offer anything until a new one comes out.

Summary: thunderbird does not see that I have the latest version of the program installed, and continues to persistently offer me to update it every day, sometimes several times a day. → Persistently offers to update it every day, despite being on the most recent version

Doe this also happen now that you are no version 68.12.1 or 78?
