[Steps to reproduce]:
- Open the browser with the profile from prerequisites and open a new tab.
- Click the “Open menu” button of a “Collection” card and select the “Save to Pocket” option.
- For the same card, click the “Open menu” button and select “Delete from Pocket” option.
- Open a new tab and observe the displayed cards.
[Expected results]:
- A new “Sponsored card” has replaced the previously deleted “Sponsored card”.
[Actual results]:
- The previously deleted “Sponsored card” is displayed.
[Notes]:
- This issue is also reproducible for the “Archive in Pocket” option.
- This issue is not reproducible for the “Dismiss” option.
- This issue is not reproducible after another tab is opened.
- The
browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.discoverystream.isCollectionDismissible
pref does not affect the results for either of its values. - Attached is a recording of the issue.

Similar to bug 1621031, I think is because archive/delete is not updating the preloaded tab.

Bugbug thinks this bug is a regression, but please revert this change in case of error.

Hi Scott, does the Iteration: 76.1 tag mean, we won't come to this for 75?

Yeah, this isn't critical for 75.
Essentially that's because it's not a bug that is all that bad, and it's not limited to just collections, it's been around fora while.
A fix would be fine, but I'm guessing not important enough to justify an uplift.

Product is okay with this going live with the experiment, no uplift needed. We'll fix it in the 76 nightly cycle.
