Ie, we should ensure we're testing that sync respects the sync engines that a user has selected.

how would that be reflected exactly in the profile conditioning ? can you describe the scenario ?

Sure. One possible scenario is:

  1. User signs in; all sync engines enabled.
  2. Browses to a few pages; we confirm sync history exists for these pages.
  3. User disables "history" sync engine.
  4. User continues browsing.
  5. We confirm sync history does NOT exist for browsing after disabling history engine.

Let me know if I'm wildly off base in terms of what the conditioned profile logic can/can't do. I'm basis this request on a (perhaps incorrect) assumption that you'd actually be able to do step #3 here. If that's not possible, or you think there's a better way to cover this, let me know.
