(Leanplum) Event E_Changed_Fennec_To_Default not working properly

Event testing 01/24/2020 - KO
When testing the event E_Changed_Fennec_To_Default, we don't see it being fired in our user profiles. A campaign was sent to users to select Firefox as their default browser and we see some numbers for the event, but we don't see it in any of our user profiles. If the event is not working properly and numbers are partial, this might affect the results of our current New User Journey. In this Journey, we're pushing users to select Firefox as their default browser, on a daily basis.
We checked the same is seen in Nightly and Beta.

Sorry, I wanted to ask QA to verify because I know of nothing being changed in regards to the mma events.
Looking a bit through the app I think the event needed is actually E_Changed_Default_To_Fennec (a small rewording..)
Isabela, can you confirm this E_Changed_Default_To_Fennec is what you needed and works as intended?
Oh sorry, yes this is the event. It doesn't work as intended.

My STRs:
- Open the app
- Go to
about:configand note themma.device_idvalue - Find in Leanplum dashboard the user for that id
- Go to Settings - Make Firefox your default browser
- Choose Firefox as default in Android's default browser setting
- Press back to return to the app
- Verify in Leanplum dashboard the events for the user previously searched for
(There might be a slight delay in when the events will be shown in the CMS (a few minutes) but when they will they will have the right timestamp - the exact time the event occured in the application)
Awaiting QAs verification.

Verified following the steps from the previous comment and we can confirm that the E_Changed_Default_To_Fennec event is displayed after a few minutes. Verified on Firefox Beta - Nexus 5 (Android 6.0.1).
However, if the browser is closed after the default browser is changed, the event is not displayed. Isabela, did you closed the browser?

Hi @Sorina and @Petru,
When this issue was first encountered, in January, we performed many tests and the event was not being displayed. We heard about opening the app after changing the settings, so we tested as you've done. Nothing. We didn't open the ticket as we expected to have the Fenix release now.
Anyway, I tested in two devices today and I can see the event being displayed :) Did anything change in these last months on this event? Or could this have been a temporary issue? Attached some screenshots from the before (in January) and now.
I think we can close this ticket as it seems to be working now.

Hi Isabela, is there no confusion about this happening in Fennec vs Fenix? Just want to make sure this is tested in the right product.

It was on Fennec, Stefan. At the time, in January, the same was noticed in Nightly though.
