Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:76.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/76.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Typed in Email in gmail
- Noticed input delay and how my notebook's fans (old Corei5 540M laptop) spinned up
Actual results:
- Web Content process uses 100% cpu when keeping key pressed, profile: https://perfht.ml/2vFcVRZ
Expected results:
- Firefox should behave like Google Chrome.
There one process consumes 70% cpu (so there is most likely a lot of scripting going on), but at least I didn't have the impression the browser can not keep up with the frequency of my keystrokes while typing.
