User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:74.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/74.0
Steps to reproduce:
Options -> Applications -> Select PDF Content Type -> Click the Down Arrow -> Click "Application Details" -> Dialog box opens.
Actual results:
First line in content area of the dialog box is:
"The following applications can be used to handle {$type} content."
Attached image shows result.
Expected results:
"The following applications can be used to handle PDF content."
Notes:
This doesn't seems to happen with other content types.
The "Application Details" option doesn't show up with all content types.
I only noticed this after I added a second application option for opening PDF files. It may or may not have been a problem before I did this.

Hi,
I have tested your issue on latest FF release 74 and latest Nightly build 76.0a1 (24-03-2020) and could not reproduce it. The application details field is not displayed on my end in the pdf drop down.
If the issue is still reproducible, can you please retest this using latest Nightly build (https://nightly.mozilla.org/) and report back the results? When doing this, please use a new clean Firefox profile (https://goo.gl/AWo6h8).
Further, I'm going to add a component in order to have someone from the development team look over this. If is not the correct component please feel free to change it to an appropriate one.
Thanks for the report.

I have tested your issue on latest FF release 74 and latest Nightly build 76.0a1 (24-03-2020) and could not reproduce it. The application details field is not displayed on my end in the pdf drop down.
It is only displayed if you select another application to open the filetype with.
STR:
- open prefs
- search for applications
- open the action dropdown next to PDF
- click "use other"
- select any application
- reopen the pdf dropdown
- click "application details"
