Details
Unable to drag URL icon within address bar to the OS X dock to store a URL within the dock. Can only be dragged to the file system.
I'm not sure this would be such a good idea. The Dock seems to be to be a place to keep links to files and applications, as well as minimized windows of running applications. Storing a URL in the Dock permanently would break that analogy. Would Chimera be expected to create a URL Bookmark file and then create a Dock item for it? Where should the URL Bookmark file be stored? Do any other OS X browsers implement this?
this does work in other major OS X browser. IE, OmniWeb, and iCab support this. The shortcut is stored in the dock and saved in: ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.dock.plist

Would this bug not depend on 149418? Or would this just be a Cocoa 'magic' trick?

Fix checked in. Draggable URLs in the chrome now go into the dock (although those in content do not; that's a different bug).

Dragging urls from the content area to the dock is covered by bug 172044.
