Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:74.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/74.0
Steps to reproduce:
Open google images
Search anything
Click an image
Right click on enlarged image - copy image location
Paste image location in to a new tab
Drag and drop full size image to folder on hard drive
In my case also using this addon that restores the "View Image" button that Google removed so I don't have to right click, copy image location, etc - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/view-image/
Actual results:
Drag and drop from google images to a folder gives me a file called "search" - the properties are jpg but there's no thumbnail preview and windows photos says "it appears that we don't support this file format."
Expected results:
Image should be regular jpg, openable as normal.

I can't reproduce it, but I am running GNU/Linux. Could you try in safe mode? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode#w_how-to-start-firefox-in-safe-mode

Thanks for the reply and the link Michel.
That fixed it and after some more experimentation it seems like the View Image addon is the cause. I guess I'll have to get in touch with the developer and let them know.
Thanks
