[Prerequisites]:

  • Have a profile with at least 3 saved logins in which one is breached.

[Steps to reproduce]:

  1. Open the Firefox browser with the profile from prerequisites.
  2. Select a saved login and click on the “Edit” button.
  3. Edit the password with the same password of a breached login and click on the “Save Changes” button.
  4. Observe the edited login.

[Expected result]:

  • The login is marked as vulnerable.

[Actual result]:

  • The login is not marked as vulnerable.

[Notes]:

  • The login is correctly marked as vulnerable after refreshing the page.
  • Attached a screen recording with the issue.

I have retested this issue and it is no longer reproducible using the latest Nightly 76.0a1 (Build ID: 20200329214909) on Windows 10 x64, Mac 10.14, Ubuntu 18.04 x64.

  • Using the mozregression tools we have found what bug fixed this behavior. Here are the results:
  • From this pushlog it seems that Bug 1592467 fixed this issue.
