Steps to reproduce:

This started with 68 release and new mail notification window was redesigned. Yes, it was a while ago. Was kind of hoping maybe it will be retracted.

Actual results:

New mail notification window uses too much space and it became huge now, when it was nice and compact before. There is so much space after the sender name on the right. And it also shows the whole subject even if it is very long and it takes 3-4 lines. Looks very weird and aesthetically unpleasing. Subject wrapped like that and then sender name floating amidst sea of wasted space.

Expected results:

Would prefer long subject truncated and shown in one line along the sender name. A few words ob a subject can be enough to understand what email is about. Sender name could also be moved more to the right and truncated if very long. Could be a setting to turn on compact new mail notification window.

For longer subjects, what we did earlier was rather unusable - seeing the complete subject is often required to get a grasp of what it's about, for the cases subject is long.
