Details

This started yesterday (note I did not upgrade my browser, I have been steady on
1.1b since it came out). When I use Yahoo!'s search (either through
www.yahoo.com or my.yahoo.com) some searches say 'Connecting' and then go
straight to 'Done', remaining on the search query page. For example, a search
for "foo bar" will work, but a search for "foo bar2" will fail in the manner
described above. I tried upgrading to last night's OS X build, but the same
problem occurred. I tested the same thing using IE for OS X and it worked fine.
I can confirm this on 2002081409 build on XP. For some searches you use only two
words and for others up to four. For example I can search for "they killed kenny
you" and the search will complete. But if I search for "they killed kenny you
bastards" the page just goes straight to done and nothing happens.
I can confirm this on Mac and Linux, so changing platform to all.
To reproduce this bug, using Mozilla 1.0, go to http://www.yahoo.com and search
for "oeone" (no quotes)
You'll see that the page appears to search, and then does nothing.
On IE (on the Mac at least) the page gets forwarded to a Google search for oeone.
I've written an email to Yahoo about it, I'll let you know what they say here.
