Steps to reproduce:

Check for new messages

Actual results:

I have used Thunderbird for many years, full of folders, subfolders and old messages. I have 5-6 account configured, mostly POP3 accounts. Since several weeks it's happening that when I click "receive messages" the messages are downloaded in the combined inbox, but the last message doesn't show up. If I click on any of the accounts below the combined inbox and then return to the combined inbox, the missing message shows up. I do this trick routinely because I know that TB always forget to show a message. I think that this is a bug. It appeared since one of the last upgrades. I actually use ver 68.6.0 32-bit on Win 10 x64. I think that this is a serious bug since missing an email can be a serious issue. Thank you.

Expected results:

All the received messages should appear in the combined inbox.

Reporter,
How does it behave when using version 78?

Whiteboard: [closeme 2020-12-15]

Strangely, it stopped doing this weird behaviour.

Regarding version 78, I did not upgrade any more from version 68.6.0 32bit.
I stopped upgrading after several years of automatic upgrades because after one of these upgrades (I don't remember which version it was) TB failed to connect to one of my account's mail server, especially one that uses autosigned certificates over POP. So I had to downgrade and stopped upgrades.
I will try to upgrade to the last version on a test PC.

Thanks for the update
