I believe bug 57372 to be not confined to the fphover applet. Unfortunately the URL of the address which crashes the browser is private. The relevant applet encrypts a user's password. Running the appletviewer on the jar file is successful. Trying to open the page containing the encryption applet crashes the browser. Using JRE1.4 rather than 1.3 solves the problem.
sing JRE1.4 rather than 1.3 solves the problem. -> invalid why do you report an already fixed bug in the JRE Plugin ?
