New tab stays bright when using Firefox Default scheme with dark system

Steps to reproduce:
- Use Firefox Default scheme which adapts to the OS scheme
- Dark system color scheme
- Open new tab
Actual results:
Even though Firefox detects the Dark system color scheme correctly and is completely dark, the new tab page is still bright. If I manually switch to the Dark Theme, the new tab page turns dark as well.
Expected results:
New Tab page should be dark

I believe this works now, at least testing it on my end seems to work.
I had to set "system theme" in themes, and "automatic" in "Website appearance" in about:preferences#general, but it worked.
I also am using Linux to set my system theme to dark/light, but I doubt the OS matters here.
