I'm not sure which component this belongs to.

The above URL displays a page which uses a PNG background that sometimes gets
corrupted when selecting and de-selecting parts of the text.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to the above URL
2. Select with the mouse some lines of the text
3. Click anywhere to de-select
4. Repeat steps 1-3 in different areas of the page.

Actual Results:  In some areas, the background gets distorted and broken

Expected Results:  The background should restore properly

For a better way to reproduce this bug. Scroll down to the middle of the page
and resize the browser window. You could see some psychedelic effects. :-)

When I reported this bug I tested it three times. Restarting mozilla in between.
But now it's working fine on the same machine.

Could be a display driver bug. Sorry :-(
