User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:75.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/75.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Open the history window (History > Show All history)
- In the search field, type the name of a site you visit often (with a few thousand entries)
- Select all the results
- Right click
- Select “Delete Pages”
Actual results:
the whole browser UI immediately becomes unresponsive (not only the history window)
after some time, the "unresponsive script" popup appears, pointing to "chrome://browser/content/places/controller.js:327"
Expected results:
The selected entries should be deleted

Hi there,
I'm trying to replicate this on macOS 14.10 on thhe following versions:
Firefox Nightly version 77.0a1 (2020-04-20) (64-bit)
Beta 76.0b5 (64-bit)
Release 75.0 (64-bit)
I just used https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/snaplinksplus/ addon to populate thousands youtube websites in the history, but after performing the search and deleting (1040 youtube entries in my case) it works fine.
Please add an attachment if possible.
See attached video.
Best,
Clara

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to investigate this.
I'm joining an HTML page containing a script that creates many entries in the browser's history (simulating the web app with which I had this issue initially). Just click on the bold number on the page to start creating history entries.
I am also joining a video of me reproducing the bug.
Best,
Ophir
